We have been *_"importing"_* paper samples for distribution to our clients across India since the start of our business.

However, of late, *Indian Customs* have become extra vigilant and have enforced several rules and regulations, which are quite tedious and cumbersome for getting 'No commercial value' samples for trade promotion.

For regular imports, yes these steps are absolutely fantastic and essential.

We had a couple of samples enroute to us mid of October from Chile. Just when they were about to arrive, the Indian Customs introduced an upgrade on their *ICEGATE* portal. Lo and behold, we now had to furnish a list of documents and enrol our company on the new portal with some added procedures that we were totally unaware of.
These samples are essential for our business and we were totally at sea as to what needs to be done and how.

Enter *Mrs Minal Buch* of *BizBrains Advisors LLP.*
Even though Minal was on maternity leave, she understood my issue patiently and entrusted the registration process on ICEGATE to her team comprising of Ms Komal and Mr Parth.
The ICEGATE portal being newly launched had innumerable glitches. However, the team at BizBrains relentlessly kept on working to get our company registered and after almost a week of continuous efforts, we were able to complete the registration.

I would have to appreciate here the patience and diligence of Minal's team. I was pulling whatever leftover hair on my head with the way the ICEGATE portal was behaving!

The story does not end here.. After the registration process, there was now a separate requirement of Indian Customs to have some more certification in place for free imports of paper samples. Something which we knew as valid for commercial imports of paper was now mandatory for importing a few sheets of paper samples as well!

I again reached out to Minal and her team and within a day we were armed with the required registration.

We then uploaded all the necessary documents with the courier company and *FINALLY* after a wait of 3 weeks were able to receive the much awaited paper samples today!

I would like this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Minal and her entire team at BizBrains. *This is probably something that they do day in and day out.* _*However, their patience, persistence and passion for knowledge and solutions are second to none*_.
